Fantastic location in Kadiköy, just a short walk from the ferry terminal. Loved the rooftop breakfast terrace with a diverse selection of Turkish delights and a fine view. The staff here are really good, always attentive and eager to assist. I appreciated them letting me check in a bit early and helping with my luggage when I arrived. The room was spacious, and the Cinnabon soap was a good touch! I did face a few issues. The bathroom could use some maintenance to address minor repairs. Some noise from the street seeped in, especially being on the first floor. Despite these inconveniences, the stay was pleasant, and I'd consider returning for the location and service.

Location on the asian side, on Moda Street is very good. Lots of bars and restaurants to go out in the evening. Very close to the ferry (Kadikoy) going to the touristic area of Sultanahmet. Although located in a very busy area, it was very quiet once in the room and I did not hear any noise from the street. View on the Bosphorus from the roof terrace where breakfast buffet is served. Great deco and very clean.
Very difficult to contact the hotel prior to my arrival; noone was picking up the phone and I did not receive any reply to my emails... I suspect the landline number changed and website was not updated. Taxi driver had a lot of difficulty to find the place since he could not reach them on their landline to enquire about landmarks / detailed location.

Location, first of all. We were visiting with family and friends in Bostanci and Buykada and wanted easy access to ferries and other transportation. Also, we have stayed in Moda before and like the atmosphere there. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was quite comfortable and clean.
We had to put a towel underneath our door at night to keep cigarette smoke, which was coming up the stairwell from the small hotel lobby, from getting into our room.

The staff were kind and attentive, going above and beyond to assist me with my luggage and offer recommendations for nearby restaurants. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a treat, especially enjoying the variety of cheeses and Turkish delicacies while overlooking the vibrant neighborhood.

The staff was really very kind. Every morning at breakfast time they served a coffee or tea according to your wishes, by bringing it to your table exactly.Room was really nice and well equipped.
For some there might be 2 problems: 1) they dont have an elevator and 2) TV didnt work mostly and I dont know what was the reason for it coz of that fact my room was changed even once, but as I mostly was away and just came there to sleep or have a shower, all other things were really nice.

I like they have large rooms ,the hotel is new, beds are confortable, bathrooms are also ok.Breakfast is good. The position of this hotel in Kadikoy region is very good, close to restaurants, shops, ferryboat, etc. It is good if you arrive to Sabiha Gokcen Airport.
Nobody in this hotel doesn't speak english, the receptionist understand something, but finally sign language works :)) In the first night we receive a room with an air conditioning that didn't work and the closet also with problems(the basin not filling with water)....so we are not so happy. In the morning we move to another room, this one was ok,all are working......The hotel has no elevator, but it isn't such a big problem, because it has only 3 floors. Another problem is that we need to catch the maid to give us some toilet paper. This was in the first day,I think it was a mistake and she forgot to put some, but was not, this problem has been repeated every day.......My feeling was strange....this is not our first visit to Istanbul,so we know what to expect....and the hotel is not so cheap (65 euro/night).I Expect at least toilet paper to have in the bathroom and somebody should speak english .......

Opt for a room away from the terrace to avoid noise from daily activities.

Polite staff, quiet atmosphere, everything was well-maintained. The room was spotless and soundproof and provided with a terrace, views over the rooftops plus good bathroom. The breakfast was outstanding and perfect, the food was different, toast, pastries, eggs and bangers available.

I liked everything in the hotel , it looked amazing and well organized, the color of the paints and furniture are very beautiful. bathroom is wonderful clean and big enough. Amazing lovely staff, always smiling they used to make my day every morning i met them especially the receptionists . I booked a double room , large comfortable bed , very clean blankets and sheets and they smell great. a small (2 person size) sofa with a nice round table and chair in the room so , receiving my friends in the room during my stay for a couple of coffee cups was very nice. besides the mirror of the dressoir there's another tall mirror on the wall behind the door. breakfast was , boiled eggs, cheeses, mortadella (kind of hum) olives, strawberry and apricot jams, honey, tea and coffee , which i think are more than enough for a healthy breakfast (i am sure in the future there will be more choices because now the hotel is very new). as a result; khalkedon hotel will be the only hotel i will stay in every time i visit Kadikoy. :) the hotel is surrounded by everything you may need, restaurants, shops, pharmacies , cafes m very close to the fairy docks etc...
everything is perfect really, but the only problem is that there's no elevator. so it will be difficult for old couples to go up and down the stairs to the 2nd and 3rd floors, unless they ask, in advance, for the reservation to be in the 1st floor (10 stairs)

I liked the roof terrace best. The reception staff, during the evening in particular, did not speak good English, and I apologise but I do not speak Turkish, so that was a problem. But I would stay there again. The porter was very helpful and so was the cook. Thank you, Charlotte Bates
